Good places to receive martial arts training in Kansas City?
I am looking for either Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA or Arnis. I am open to other fighting styles but not really interested in styles like Karate, Tae Kwon Do and other styles that are less practical. I am having difficulty finding something with classes in the evenings like 7 or later that are around or under a hundred a month

Martial arts/ when to enroll my son in training.?
My son is only 2 years old now . But I am thinking in the future when he grows up to enroll him in martial arts training. I’m thinking karate or something of this sort. What is the best age to start for him.? What kind of martial atrs style is preferable and why? I can see a lot of benefits of such training for a boy, but Is there any negative sides of it that I should keep in mind?
Thank you!

Martial Arts Training Area?
I have an area outside that I use to practice karate. So far I have a makiwara board and a hanging kicking bag but Id like to add more so when I go to train I have more stuff to work on. I’m more into building my own training equipment so I dont have to spend a few hundred dollars on something I could have just made myself.
Any suggestions on training equipment I can add to my "training ground"? Thanks

I need advice about Martial Arts?
Me and my friend like martial arts, he is in karate and im gonna start judo in august. We Thought of making a martial art club in the school so we could practice with other friends and students. The problem is that nobody know much about martial arts in the school but they liked it. They know about UFC and stuff but they don’t know how to tap a opponent or how to strike. My Friend told me to download videos from internet about submissions and Grappling so we could learn and teach the techniques to other people in the school. I thought it was cool we would practice and everything in group and share techniques and things we learn. But the problem is like i said they don’t know much about martial arts and me and my friend would be teaching but we are not certified to teach other people we are beginners he only have like 6 month in karate and i have 1 year in taek won-do we both have Orange Belt. I feel like It could be possible but at the same time is not right because i am not a black belt and certified teacher to teach martial arts. Plus we don’t have income to buy mats and equipment for Club because we don’t have that kind of money and the school do not have that kind of income( Real Bad Public School) I though we could look for jobs but we are too young to work. I tried looking for job but they said No, so i thought maybe wait until i am older so i can get a job but yet it will take time. My friend said to ask money from the persons from the club so we could buy Equipment but i doubt they will pay. I don’t know what to do my friend look kind of excited and give the aura that it can be done but i feel like it would backfire.
We don’t have Income for Equipment only asking money from the club member or try to rise fund but i doubt we could buy mats for grappling as they cost a lot.
We are not Certified to teach Martial Arts and We don’t have someone Certified to Watch Us.
We mostly will be doing Grappling in the Floor without mat or anything until we buy the mats.
I Have heard so much bad thing about Self Learning Martial Arts that im worried that i might learn the Technique wrong and teach it to others and they learn wrong too:(
What do you think we should Continue To do this?
Im quite negative with this :S
