About navel rings and physical activity?
I’m a very active guy–I do martial arts (I do arnis–a Philippines martial art that uses sticks), stretching (I’m trying to learn splits), and a lot of weightlifting (I lift heavy). Now, I plan to get a navel ring as soon as I graduate this April. Are there any special precautions which I should take? Should I decrease physical activity or avoid certain ones? I also hold in my tummy to make my waist look slimmer–most of the time. I’m also pretty fond of body-hugging clothing and dancing. Some expert advice? Would appreciate some from athletic people who have navel rings. Thanks a lot!

What is actually going on in reality?
Lately I’ve been questioning some elements of reality. Is absolutely everything some sort of test? Are my 5 senses some sort of sensory testing equipment? Im starting to consider the possibility of every single footbal program that I’ve watched, every news telecast, every piece of historic evidence and scientific fact has only inserted itself into my perception and my senses(my life) in order to test me. The existence of wildlife and wildlife habitat, the beautiful moon reflected upon the ocean during the evening, is something lying to me? Am I really just meant to die in warfare? Or do I have some sort of option? Please, can someone give me logical advice. I know I sound insane, and I AM, but I am also intelligent. And I stopped smoking cigarettes, marijuana and any other drugs or dirty habbits years ago in order to pursue the martial arts. I am DEAD serious, I have a couple glasses of wine a couple times a week and thats about it. I am not an drug adict, but maybe I am to dillusion..

resources for fashion tips. I would REALLY appreciate help!?
Here’s the deal. I’m looking for ideas and tips for clothing. I tend to be drawn to indie styles. I love indie music, and I like indie clothing, but at the same time don’t fit with the stereotypical indie scene. I LOVE music but can’t play, and enjoy philosophy and art. but I also like sports and train in the martial arts. I want to develop my own style that expresses both areas in my life. I’m looking for somewhat of a moderate indie look, that maintains the somewhat athletic interests, and doesn’t portray me as being the all out artsy and musical type because that’s really not where I am gifted. I would really appreciate any tips and resources with ideas for clothing/hair styles. thanks for your help!

Any advise on improving my martial arts training?
First i’d like to thank anyone who will take the time to read this post. here is my deal, after years of neglect and making excuses for being out of shape i decided to start martial arts training. Four months ago i began practicing Choi li fut Kung fu (i’ve lost 26 pounds and counting) and i absolutely love it.
My "problem" is that i am no longer content with just getting a good work out. I truly aspire to be better, a "real" martial artist i guess you can say; and as such I am looking for ways to supplement my personal work outs so that they yield results in my MA training.
The areas i feel are my weakest are my flexibility, core strength and leg strength. i would like some advice on exercises, drills and work out routines that have an emphasis on martial arts and can help with my problem areas. I want to feel like i am still contributing to my kung fu training even on the days i cant make it to class.
Just to clarify, i am not looking to get stronger so i can beat someone up or run around trying to get into street fights. i want to condition myself so i can do my forms with perfect posture from start to finish, i want to be able to kick stronger, hold lower stances and overall just be better at the style i’ve chosen.
I would gladly take any input or advise from anyone’s personal experience and training regiments, as well as any good books on the matter anyone can suggest.
Finally my school also offers a tai chi program i have been thinking of checking out. Would Tai chi be a good supplement to my kung fu? or would it just result in trying to juggle too many things? once again thanks in advance for any responses i might get.

question if any ladies here would approve of this if you were an actress?
below is a webpage showing a pic taken from a scene of my favorite TV show. It shows one of the female characters practicing martial arts on a tree. Now this is a rare image that I see i all of the times I’d seen females do martial arts in a film or show. So I ask any females here, if you were an actress and you had to do martial arts in a scene, would you approve having this kind of image on your scene or would you prefer changing your clothing before you shoot it?
