                  Unusual Martial Arts training?

Roger Huerta UFC Fight Night 19 Walk-Out Shirt

I once saw on a tv show wherein mixed martial arts athletes (and another similar show with more mixed athletes) travel the world to participate in the most brutal, traditional or otherwise unique training they could find. One was where they trained with an Amazonian tribe for a boat race, another was when one went high into a Japanese mountain and did things like punch trees, thrust his hands into bunches of bamboo, and walk up steps on his fists. Could someone please give me more information on techniques similar to the latter? Thanks.

What kind of grant would be best to apply for, for a small non-profit organization?

Roger Huerta UFC Fight Night 19 Walk-Out Shirt

My brother-in-law owns a small Mixed Martial Arts Non-Profit Organization in a very small town. He teaches self-defense to women and also teaches school age kids respect and discipline. Again, it is non-profit, but he is having trouble paying for the building and equipment. I’m sure he can get a grant, but I would like to know which type would be best. Thank you in advance for your help!
